League Details/Rules
​​Format​

Matches will be played weekly on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm or 8:30pm EST.

The schedule will be released 1 week prior to the start of the season.

Matches are best of 7 (BO7) games.

Teams can consist of 2 to 3 players.

Substitutions can occur between games but never during.

Tiers
-
Teams will be separated into tiers based on skill (to the best of our ability).

Tier 1 will be considered the top tier and consist of 8 teams. Tier 1 teams will be selected by the Play-In Tournament in January
-
*Note - This will be the only season with a Play-In Tournament. Teams will need to be promoted in order to reach Tier 1 in the future. See below for more details.

The remaining teams will be placed into Group Tiers A, B, C, etc... based on the total number of teams. ​
Promotion/Relegation​

Positions 1 - 4 will play in an end-of-season tournament.

The entire team is expected to play in person with no exceptions. If you are unable to show up you will forfeit your right to participate in the playoffs.

Groups

The top team from each group and a specified number of wild cards teams (depending on total number of teams) will play in a single elimination Promotion tournament.​

Groups​

In the Group Tiers the team Captains are responsible for setting up the match and reporting the scores.

The Home Captain will host the match.

Scores to be submitted by Home and Away team captains at the end of the match via discord

Matches should be started exactly at the designated times

A 5 minute grace period will be allowed for anyone running late​
-
If the 5 minutes is up and no players from a team have arrived, the other team is awarded a match win and given 4 games won.

The 5 minute time is based on when a team member has checked in on discord. Please read the private match Instructions to see how to check in.

You are allowed to play with 1 player if your teammate is running late. Teammate is allowed to join the game whenever they arrive and connect.

Disconnecting from game​
-
If you disconnect from a game we encourage you to attempt to reconnect as quickly as possible. The game will not be stopped to wait for a player to rejoin. The hosting captain cannot pause the game if his teammate or any player disconnects.

There is no waiting for teammates to connect in between games. Once a game completes there will be a 1 minute intermission (RL standard) and the next game must begin.

Anyone caught pausing games may be subject to forfeit that game and possibly the entire match based on league discretion.

Play-In Tournament
​*You are not required to participate in the play-in tournament. If your team chooses not to participate you will be placed in the Group Tier at the beginning of the regular season. You can choose this when you register. ​

Each team will play two matches a night for a total of 6 matches.

Swiss-style league format. (Each match will be against a random opponent)

Points at the end of the play-in will determine Tier placement for the regular season. ​​​
